Robotic Press Brake Operator

DTI, the parent company of Sudenga Industries and Dur-A-Lift, is hiring robotic press brake operators to join our team. We are located just outside of George, Iowa.

Diversified Technologies Inc. is expanding our team and seeking a skilled Robotic Press Brake Operator to work with advanced automated bending technology and help drive production excellence. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. DTI provides a competitive wage and benefits package.

Job Title: Robotic Press Brake Operator

Location: George, Iowa

Position Summary:
The Robotic Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating robotic press brake systems to bend and form sheet metal components according to specifications. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. (This job description is intended to be a general guideline of responsibilities.  There will be incidental tasks not listed on a job description that arise and, as a member of the DTI team.  Each employee is expected to help in as many of these areas as they can.) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate robotic press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts per engineering drawings and work orders.
  • Load, unload, and adjust robotic programs for optimal production efficiency and part quality.
  • Select proper tooling and verify machine parameters to meet product specifications.
  • Inspect finished components using calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure robotic equipment is in safe and proper working order.
  • Troubleshoot robotic press brake operations and coordinate with maintenance or engineering teams as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards while maintaining a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 2 + years previous experience operating press brake or robotic manufacturing equipment required.
  • Knowledge of CNC/robotic programming and metal fabrication processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with robotic automation controls and troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Dependable.
  • Ability to work with a team.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience with robotic press brake brands such as Amada, Trumpf, or Bystronic.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
  • Basic welding or fabrication skills.
