Diversified Technologies Inc. is currently seeking experienced press brake operators to join our team in the Dur-A-Lift division. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. DTI provides a competitive wage and benefits package. We are located in George, Iowa — just a short drive from many Northwest Iowa and Southwest Minnesota communities, including Ashton, Boyden, Doon, Hull, Melvin, Ocheyedan, Rock Rapids, Rock Valley, Sheldon, Sibley, Sioux Center, Worthington (MN), Ellsworth (MN), and Adrian (MN).

Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Location: George, Iowa

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. (This job description is intended to be a general guideline of responsibilities.  There will be incidental tasks not listed on a job description that arise and, as a member of the DTI team.  Each employee is expected to help in as many of these areas as they can.) 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components per blueprints or job orders.
  • Select proper tooling and machine settings for each job.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using measuring tools and gauges.
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure the equipment is in safe operating condition.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.
  • Work with the production team to meet schedules and minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years previous experience as a press brake operator or in metal fabrication is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and quality control standards.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Reliable attendance.
  • Dependable.
  • Ability to work with a team.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

  • Experience with CNC press brake programming.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Welding or other metal fabrication skills.
