Sudenga Wins 2026 AE50 Award for new bin unload

The Double Barrel Power Sweep earns national engineering recognition

George, Iowa — Sudenga’s patent-pending Double Barrel Power Sweep has been named a 2026 AE50 Award winner by the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). The AE50 Awards recognize innovative agricultural technologies that demonstrate meaningful engineering advancement and real-world application.

Designed to fill the space between traditional auger systems and full commercial conveyor systems, the Double Barrel Power Sweep delivers a balance of convenience, durability, and performance. The system provides commercial-level unloading capability while maintaining a low-profile design that installs under floors as short as 13 inches, reducing foundation requirements. Unloading capacities reach up to 6,500 bushels per hour in bins up to 93 feet in diameter, allowing the system to adapt to a wide range of grain storage applications.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from ASABE,” said Greg VerSteeg, Vice President of Sudenga Industries. “The AE50 Award highlights the engineering innovation behind the Double Barrel Power Sweep and its impact on modern grain handling.”
