Q. Sue, how long have you worked for Sudenga Industries?
A. I’ve worked for Sudenga for 26 years.
Q. Where did you attend school?
I attended Central Lyon in Rock Rapids, Iowa, and afterwards attended Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa.
Q. Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
A. I grew up in Rock Rapids, but have lived in George, Iowa for 41 years.
Q. Care to share anything about your family?
A. My husband Brad and I have two children, both of whom are married to wonderful spouses. Brad and I also have three grandchildren, who are our pride and joy.
Q. What is your favorite memory from work?
A. I am thankful for the many years I got to work with Larry Kruse. He was a truly kind man. His mentorship meant a lot to me.
Q. What is one of your favorite things about work?
A. I really enjoy the “food days” that we have where we all bring a snack, salad, dessert, or any food item to share. It brings everyone together and is a fun time.
Q. What hobbies do you enjoy when you aren’t working?
A. I enjoy playing golf, reading, and visiting my grandchildren and having them stay overnight.
Q. Do you follow any sports teams?
A. I cheer for the Minnesota Vikings, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and all of the local George-Little Rock and CL-GLR teams.
Q. What’s a fun fact about yourself that many people might not know?
I was on the G.E.M.S. (George Emergency Medical Services) for over 20 years. I was also an EMS instructor for Northwest Iowa Community College for 10 years. My husband Brad served on the George Fire Department for 25 years.
Q. Anything else you would like to share?
A. Sudenga is a family-oriented workplace. Faith, family, and friends is a motto they believe in. Sudenga is my work family, and I am proud to be a part of this family.
