A Brief Q&A with Jessy Stueven, a manufacturing engineer for Sudenga Industries

Q. Jessy, how long have you worked for Sudenga Industries?

A. I’ve worked for Sudenga for 4 years.

Q. Where did you attend school?

A. I went to GLR for high school, and then I went on to South Dakota School of Mines in Rapid City to get my mechanical engineering degree.

Q. Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

A. I grew up between George and Hull, and now my wife and I have a house between George and Little Rock.

Q. Care to share anything about your family?

A. My wife and I have been married for just about six years, and we have a black lab named Max.

Q. What is your favorite memory from work?

A. My favorite memory from work was the first time I was able to go to and help run a booth for the NCC career day. We brought a welding simulator and allowed the kids to try their hand at welding. This was a great educational moment for them as well as a great moment to show others from the area what we are capable of as a company.

Q. What is one thing that many people might not know about Sudenga products?

A. After starting out here, I was impressed with the level of technology that we have been integrating both into our production parts and manufacturing processes. Growing up in the area, I never fully grasped the complexity and scope of the parts and products that Sudenga Industries produces.

Q. What are your favorite things to do when you aren’t working?

A. I enjoy going up to the lake and fishing.

Q. Any favorite activities or sports teams you follow?

A. I am a casual fan of the Minnesota Vikings, but I enjoy watching football in general.
