A Brief Q&A with Robin Fastert, a member of the Sudenga Sales Team & Customer Service Team
Q. Robin, how long have you worked for Sudenga Industries?
A. I will have worked at Sudenga for 17 years this August.
Q. Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
A. I grew up in Rock Rapids, Iowa. I currently live on an acreage in the Rock Rapids area.
Q. Where did you attend school?
A. I graduated from Central Lyon in Rock Rapids.
Q. Care to share anything about your family?
I have been married to my husband Dan for 40 years. We have 3 sons and 7 grandchildren.
Q. What are your favorite things to do when you aren’t working?
A. I have many hobbies, my favorite of which is quilting. I also enjoy sewing and many different craft projects.
Q. Do you have any favorite sports teams?
A. I am a fan of Iowa Hawkeyes football & wrestling. When it comes to professional football, I cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings. I also enjoy supporting Central Lyon sports, it’s fun to see the youth excel and it brings the community together.
Q. What is your favorite work memory?
A. On Chuck’s 40th Birthday (Chuck is the President of Sudenga Industries), his office was completely decorated in Nebraska Huskers memorabilia—a true nightmare for a diehard Jackrabbits fan.
Q. What’s one (or two) “fun facts” about you that not many people might know?
A. I was the first female salesperson at Sudenga. Another thing people may not know about me is that I enjoy singing, both solo and in a group.
Q. Anything else you would like to share?
A. I started at Sudenga as a forklift operator in 2005 and was in metalworking before moving to sales.
