A Brief Q&A with Scott Rose, an Inventory Control Specialist for Sudenga Industries
Q. Scott, how long have you worked for Sudenga Industries?
A. I have worked here for 36 years.
Q. What are your favorite work memories from your time here?
A. I really enjoyed the company Christmas parties. I have also gotten to work with countless good people over the years. Two former coworkers who I have many good memories of are Arvid Berreau and Denny Hohensee. I also have many fond memories of working for Larry Kruse and Lyle Hollander.
Q. Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
A. I grew up on the family dairy farm—northwest of Worthington, Minnesota. I now live in Worthington on the golf course.
Q. Where did you go to school?
A. I graduated from Worthington High School. I then graduated from Worthington Community College. Lastly, I got my degree in Business Administration from Southwest State – Marshall (now Southwest Minnesota State University).
Q. What is one thing that a lot of people might not know about Sudenga products?
A. There is lots of personal pride that goes into all of our products. It’s a team effort.
Q. What activities do you enjoy when you aren’t working?
A. I enjoy bike riding, traveling, and farming on the side. And, of course, spending quality time with my wife.
Q. Do you follow any sports teams?
A. I follow all of my grandkids’ sports and events, including volleyball, cross-country, soccer, track & field, basketball, and football.
Q. Care to share anything about your family?
I have been married 51 years to Sue, my high school sweetheart. Our children are Stacy (married to Tim), Sara (married to Bruce), and Shane. Our grandkids are Kendrick, Emmett, Karissa, Logan, Grace, and Luke.
Q. What’s a fun fact about yourself that many people might not know?
I am a caring and sensitive person, and I always use my manners.
Q. Anything else you would like to share?
Family is very important to me. First comes my actual family, second comes my church family, and third is my work family—my coworkers at Sudenga Industries.
